About PanelCraft: why the design drives everything

PanelCraft is desktop software for the people who turn a drawing into a cabinet. It exists because panel furniture is designed in one tool, cut-listed in another and priced in a spreadsheet, and every hand-off is a place where a number can quietly change.

Why it exists

A quote built by hand misses items. A cut list typed from a drawing carries typing errors. A spreadsheet drifts away from the design it was made for. Hours go into each quote, boards are wasted, wrong parts are cut and prices are disputed, and the fear behind all of it is a silent mistake in a number that reaches a client.

PanelCraft is built around one idea: the design is the only thing you enter. Everything else, the parts, the cutting layout, the price, the drawings and the machining files, is derived from it by one engine. Change the design and every downstream number follows.

It is made for the kind of work that preset-only configurators cannot do and general CAD does not cut or price: one-off wardrobes, desks, bookcases, kitchens and fitted furniture in panel materials.

Principles we build by

Free design is the foundation. Presets are starting points; you can draw anything panel by panel.

Numbers you can check. Every quote line is visible. Estimates are shown as ranges until the cut layout is final. A number that could be read two ways is flagged, never guessed.

Neutral outputs. PDF, CSV, DXF and SVG are open formats. Machining files are plain geometry that any cutting service or CAM software reads.

Your data on your computer. Projects are files you own. The application works offline and uploads nothing.

Plain words. The interface and the documents speak the workshop’s language, in six languages.
